Yes, some moments are unscripted but a few composed shots can be just as powerful.
Im a Staffordshire Wedding Photographer although shoot weddings all over the Uk and further afield I believe your wedding images should feel authentic, relaxed, and reflect you. While most of the day is captured naturally as it unfolds, I always take a little time to create some beautiful, composed portraits too. Nothing forced just a calm, fun moment away from the crowd.
Capturing the Real and the Beautiful – How I Photograph Your Wedding Day
My approach blends the magic of unscripted moments with the beauty of composed portraits. Weddings are filled with natural joy the spontaneous laughs, quiet glances, and emotional embraces that happen in between the big moments. These are the fleeting, real snapshots of your day, and I work unobtrusively to document them as they unfold.
But while candid photography is a huge part of how I tell your story, I also believe there’s a place for a few beautifully composed portraits. After all, you’ve made a huge commitment, spent time planning every detail, and you deserve to be the focal point even if you’re not naturally comfortable in front of the camera.
That’s why I like to step away with you both for a short while. Nothing overly posed or stiff just a relaxed, fun few minutes to capture you together, naturally. I work quickly, so you’re back with your nearest and dearest before the canapés go cold or the champagne runs dry!
It’s all about balance real, documentary moments mixed with timeless images that will become part of your family history for generations to come.
Whether you’re planning a country house wedding, a church ceremony, a marquee in the garden, or destination wedding I’d love to document it for you.
Now booking weddings across the UK and further afield for 2026 & 2027. My diary starts to fill quickly at this time of year, so if you’re looking for relaxed, real, and beautiful wedding photography, let’s chat.
