Beth and Ally’s love story is a modern romance that led to a beautiful summer celebration in the heart of Staffordshire. Beth, a conveyancer, and Ally, a data analyst, first met through a dating app—one of the many success stories proving that the right connection can happen online. From the start, they bonded over their shared love of adventure. City breaks are a favourite pastime, with unforgettable trips to Rome and spontaneous getaways like Bruges. Closer to home, they also enjoy long walks through the breathtaking landscapes of the Peak District and spending weekends decorating their new house together.
The proposal took place somewhere deeply meaningful to them both: the Golden Jubilee Bridge. It was here that they first realised they loved each other during their first weekend away together. Just before the proposal, Beth thought Ally seemed unusually quiet and worried he might be in a bad mood. In reality, he was simply battling nerves before asking the most important question of his life. Moments later, he got down on one knee and Beth said yes.
Their wedding took place on 10th June 2023 at the stunning Sandon Hall, one of the most beautiful venues for a wedding photographer in Staffordshire to capture unforgettable moments. The couple had actually discovered Sandon Hall during a drive-in cinema event when weddings were cancelled during COVID. After getting engaged, they booked a viewing just two days later and secured their wedding date within a week.
After weeks of anxiously checking the forecast—and even burying a sausage in the garden to prevent rain, following an old wives’ tale—the couple were rewarded with a scorching hot summer day. Beth remembers waiting outside Sandon Hall, hearing the church bells in the distance and feeling a mixture of excitement and calm. Ally’s most memorable moment was seeing Beth walk down the aisle, looking incredibly beautiful. It was a day full of emotion, laughter and memories any wedding photographer in Staffordshire would love to capture.
Following their magical wedding at Sandon Hall, Beth and Ally headed off on their honeymoon to Mauritius, where they spent two incredible weeks exploring jungles with monkeys roaming freely and relaxing on white sandy beaches surrounded by coral reefs. Their adventure together had only just begun.
